I had such a great stay here. My room was large, clean, and comfortable, and it looked out over the lively zócalo (main square) toward the Gulf. (There were political rallies, Christmas celebrations, and other events going on while I was there, but the happy noise had all stopped by 10:00 or 11:00 p.m. I never had trouble sleeping.) The wifi worked great. Staff were uniformly friendly and helpful. There is a Sanborn's on the ground floor and a hotel restaurant on the second floor -- which is also where the delightful pool area is to be found. (I had it to myself for the most part.) The hotel, again, is right on the zócalo and close to all of the sights, including the malecón (waterfront esplanade). Many of my favorite places to hang out are steps away, e.g., the Gran Café del Portal and the Cervecería Heroica en Los Portales. Taxis are easy to get to the airport, bus station, and San Juan de Ulúa Fort. City tours leave a couple of blocks away at the start of the malecón. Veracruz is truly an underrated destination, in my opinion. It has a very tropical/Caribbean vibe and so many of the things that tourists look for. At the same time, it is a working port and center of naval operations. I loved the mix and cannot wait to go back.

Hotel is only a couple of blocks from "El Malecón", stores and restaurants. Great price. Hotel is very clean and staff is very friendly. Beds are very comfortable and the A/C is great (much appreciated for Veracruz' type of weather)

Jose

Great location near the Zocolo. Excellent food in the restaurant, had breakfast twice and lunch once. Friendly, helpful, bilingual staff.

Catherine

The location is as central as you can get. There are lots of restaurants and tourist sites within walking distance. The pool is clean.

Bobsk

Great location, right next to the Zócalo. Friendly staff, always happy to help. The hotel's restaurant serves very good food.
